It has been one month now since the unfortunate incident at Nkwogwu town in Aboh Mbaise Local Government claimed the life of Pa Albert Nwanchukwu, but the town still mourns. The incident remains etched in the minds of the dwellers, as well as the whereabouts of Victor Nwachukwu, Promise Nwachuckwu Yakubu and Blessing Nzebechi Nwachukwu.
Recall that it was said that the late Pa Albert Nwachukwu had, before his demise, reported at the police station the activities of these unknown gunmen who had hitherto disrupted the peace of the town. The policeman, who is an insider for these gunmen, had told the gang of this action, which led to the attack and murder of Pa Nwachukwu. Also, recall that the children of the late Pa Nwachukwu, notably Victor Onyedikachi Nwachukwu, Promise Rita Nwachukwu Yakubu, and Blessing Nzebechi Nwachukwu, had fled the town for their lives that night of 22 April, 2025, as the gang has been known to show no mercy.
While the police are still searching for the gang and the mole in their midst, the town still craves the peace it once knew. The streets are not what they used to be. Some people believed the three children who fled are still hiding in the town, while others believed they have left the town for their safety.
However, as at the time of publication, security measures in the town have been increased, and the community members are encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement efforts.
